The difference

Same job, right up to the Post button

Redreach sits in the Drafts bin: it finds the thread and suggests a reply, and the posting is yours. SlopMog sits in Done for you.

Comparing more than two tools? The Reddit marketing tools roundup sorts them by job, and if GummySearch closing sent you here, the GummySearch alternatives guide goes by the job you used it for. Two more comparisons from these bins: SlopMog vs Replymer and SlopMog vs CrowdReply.

The good and the meh

Redreach: the good and the meh

We could pretend they're terrible. They're not. Every point links to where we read it.

What Redreach does well

  • Starts at $19 a month ($15 billed yearly)1
  • A $12 3-day pass, and money back within 48 hours of payment2
  • Finds Reddit threads already on Google's first page3
  • Setup from your website and your top 3 competitors, no keywords needed3
  • You reply from your own Reddit account, in your own name2
  • Alerts by email, Telegram, Slack or webhook, depending on the plan1
  • MCP server and REST API on Growth and Professional, at no extra charge4
  • Listed among GummySearch's recommended alternatives7

Where it falls short

  • Posting is on you. Its MCP page says "Redreach never posts to Reddit for you"4
  • Reddit only3
  • Startup finds new leads weekly. Daily starts on Growth ($39 a month)1
  • Slack and webhook alerts need Professional ($79 a month)1
  • Uses Google rank as a stand-in for what AI models read, rather than asking them5
  • A project needs a website2
Thread hunting

Where each tool looks for threads

Both chase threads people keep finding. They just pick them by different signals.

Redreach: Google's first page

You give Redreach your website and your top 3 competitors (up to 8 on Professional), add up to 60 keywords, and it surfaces threads that rank on Google, or are likely to3.

SlopMog: your keywords daily, plus what the AIs cite

SlopMog reads your site, builds keyword groups (features, competitors, brand, Reddit, YouTube) and scores every thread it finds for relevance, every day. High-Value discovery adds the threads AI models cite, found by asking them (more below).

Want to find those threads by hand first? Here's how to find the Reddit threads Google and ChatGPT already use.

The bet both tools make: a helpful comment in a thread that ranks keeps getting read for months.

The pitch

Why consider SlopMog instead

Besides the obviously superior name. Here's what changes in your week.

The posting is done for you

Redreach stops at the suggestion: you copy it, post it from your account and keep track of it. SlopMog drafts a comment for every thread it finds, in the thread's tone and one of 5 voices (or Auto). You edit it, regenerate it, approve it or skip it, and approved comments go out from aged Reddit accounts on a staggered schedule. Or switch a site to hands-free and approve nothing.

SlopMog advantage
Approve a draft and you're done. Or don't even do that.
  • A draft for every thread, in the thread's tone
  • Edit it, regenerate it with another voice, or skip it
  • Posted on a staggered schedule, never in a burst
  • Hands-free per site, within a daily budget per platform
See how it works

Threads the AIs cite, found by asking them

Redreach treats Google rank as its signal for what AI models read5. SlopMog's High-Value discovery asks instead: it writes 40 buyer-style questions without your brand name, puts each one to Gemini, Claude, GPT and Grok with live web search, and ranks every Reddit and YouTube thread they cite. It runs weekly, when you add a site, or on demand.

SlopMog advantage
Comment where 4 AI models already look, at $6 per High-Value comment
  • 40 buyer questions by default, no brand name in them
  • 4 models, each with live web search
  • Reddit and YouTube threads, checked and ranked
  • Weekly, on a new site, or on demand
See High-Value threads

Health checks show what's still up

A comment you can't see anymore did nothing for you. SlopMog's health checks re-check recently posted comments and show which are still live and which were removed. Credits are spent only when a comment posts, and they come back if a post fails for good.

The verdict

Which tool is right for you?

No tool fits everyone. Here's who should use which.

Redreach might be better if…

  • You want to reply yourself, from your own Reddit account
  • Your budget is under $99 a month: Redreach starts at $19, or $12 for a 3-day pass
  • The threads you care about are the ones already on Google's first page
  • You want alerts in Slack, Telegram or a webhook, or an MCP server and API
  • You run an agency and want white-label plans

SlopMog might be better if…

  • You'd rather approve a draft than post it, or go hands-free
  • You want YouTube threads as well as Reddit
  • You want the threads Gemini, Claude, GPT and Grok cite, found by asking them
  • You want to see which comments are still live and which were removed
  • Your time per comment costs more than the gap in the calculator above

What neither tool can promise

Nobody can promise a comment never gets removed, and anyone who does is selling something. A subreddit's rules, its moderators and its readers decide, and what they judge is the comment: an answer to the question tends to stay up, an ad tends not to.

With Redreach you post from your own account, so a removal or a ban lands on your profile. Its FAQ suggests leaving out direct links unless others in the thread use them2, which is sound advice wherever you post. With SlopMog, comments go out from aged Reddit accounts on a staggered schedule, and health checks show which ones are still live and which were removed.

The longer version, for either tool: how to market on Reddit without getting banned.

Switching

Moving over from Redreach

There's nothing to export. Here's what the first week looks like.

  1. Add your site

SlopMog reads it and pulls out your brand, what you sell, your tone and keyword groups, competitors included. The competitors you gave Redreach belong in that group.

  2. Approve the first drafts

Edit, regenerate with another voice, approve or skip. Approved comments go out on a staggered schedule, and health checks show which are still live.

  3. Keep Redreach, or cancel it

Redreach plans cancel at the end of the paid term6. Running both works too: Redreach's $19 Startup for the threads you want to answer in your own name, SlopMog for the rest.
