The best GummySearch alternative depends on the job you used it for, and each of its jobs now has a replacement from free to about $30 a month (prices checked Nov 3, 2026). Export your data first, because GummySearch permanently deletes all of it on December 1, 20261.
What happened to GummySearch
GummySearch announced on Nov 6, 2025 that it would close10, and it stopped taking signups, purchases and renewals on Nov 30, 2025. Its closure notice says it's "shutting down due to the inability to reach a commercial license agreement with Reddit's Data API"1. Fed, its founder, put it more bluntly on closing day: Reddit's API policies "forbid commercial applications"11.
By the closing note, "over 140,000 founders, marketers, and investors" relied on it11. Its Starter, Pro and Mega plans cost $29, $59 and $199 a month12, a handy yardstick for the prices below.

Audiences
Each one is a list of subreddits you picked. Copy the names into a plain text list.
Tracked keywords
Brand, competitor and problem terms. They paste straight into your next alert tool.
Saved posts and lists
Keep each thread's Reddit link and your notes. The threads stay on Reddit after GummySearch goes.
Quotes you reuse
The customer lines you keep coming back to, pasted into a doc you own.
An Audience in GummySearch was a saved "list of communities"13, and nothing outside GummySearch keeps a copy of it. While you copy the subreddit names, jot down each sub's self-promotion rule from its sidebar. Every sub sets its own, and the guide to marketing on Reddit without getting banned shows where to find them.
patterns and decisions you can always redo later, but raw conversations you didn't save are gone if a tool dies. i keep the actual quotes in plain text so no shutdown can take them.
Replacements by job, with prices
GummySearch did research, keyword alerts and lead finding in one place. Its replacements mostly do one of those, so expect a tool per job. The picker sorts you into a kind of tool and the table has the names and prices. For the wider field, see the best Reddit marketing tools, sorted by job.
Which kind of replacement fits?
- 1.Do you want to write the replies yourself?
- 2.Do you need alerts in Slack or email?
- 3.What's your budget a month?
Answer the three questions and the kind of tool that fits shows up here.
If you're choosing between alerts and having the replies done, we compared SlopMog side by side with Syften's keyword alerts and with Octolens' social listening.
Free GummySearch alternatives
Nothing free does all of what GummySearch did, but two free tools cover parts of it. Reddit Pro is Reddit's own business tool, it costs nothing, and it tracks keywords and phrases "like your business, products, competitors" to show you the audience and trends around them2. Being Reddit's own, it doesn't depend on anyone's API deal.
F5Bot's free plan emails you when 5 keywords show up on Reddit, Hacker News or Lobsters, with up to 20 alerts a day and a delay of up to 2 hours5. It's for personal use only, and so is the $12.99 Silver plan. Monitoring for a business starts at Gold, $49.99 a month.
Don't rebuild your alerts on Reddit's RSS feeds. Reddit stops supporting them on Nov 13, 2026, and says there's no replacement outside communities you moderate18. Syften and Octolens let you try without a card, Subreddit Signals with one, and our test of free and paid Reddit keyword alerts covers the rest.
Finding threads to reply to
GummySearch listed "Find Sales Leads" as one of its four use cases19, and that one ended at the thread: the reply was yours to write, post and keep an eye on. The replacements split on how much of that they take off your plate.
a lot of tools can find keywords or relevant threads, but the time consuming part is what comes after that. you still have to write the replies and post everything yourself.
Drafts you post yourself
Redreach costs $19 a month, finds threads that already rank on Google's first page and suggests replies, and you handle "the final step: posting from your real account"7. Subreddit Signals costs $29 a month, watches up to 10 subreddits you choose on Starter and scores posts for buyer intent8. It drafts a reply when you ask and "does not auto-post replies"20. Both are on GummySearch's own list15, and here's how Redreach compares with SlopMog.
Posted for you
SlopMog finds threads on Reddit and YouTube every day for your keywords and drafts a comment in each thread's tone. You edit, approve or skip each draft, or switch a site to hands-free, and comments go out on a staggered schedule, Reddit ones from aged Reddit accounts. A regular comment is 6 credits ($0.60), so the $99 Test the Waters plan's 1,000 credits cover about 166 a month, or 16 High-Value comments at $6 each. There's no free trial, only a 7-day refund on your first payment, and no public API. See what each plan covers.
CrowdReply's Starter plan is $99 a month and $10 a comment, posted from its own accounts, with a 7-day trial921. You pick each thread, and SlopMog vs CrowdReply runs the numbers. ReplyAgent charges $79 a month for discovery and drafts, and posts from its aged accounts for $4 a comment, though its own FAQ says $517. Whoever posts, the comment still has to help the person asking, and the Reddit marketing guide covers what that looks like sub by sub.

Reddit's Data API Terms say that using its Data APIs "for commercial purposes" needs "a separate agreement with Reddit"22. That agreement is what GummySearch tried for and didn't get. Reddit has also set its own dates: RSS feeds stop on Nov 13, 2026, and public API access closes for all remaining apps and users in March 202723.

Questions people ask
Why did GummySearch shut down?
It couldn't reach a commercial license agreement for Reddit's Data API, according to its help center. The founder's closing note, dated Nov 30, 2025, says it shut down to comply with Reddit's API policies, which forbid commercial applications.
When does GummySearch delete my data?
On December 1, 2026. GummySearch's help center says all user data will be permanently deleted that day, and lifetime-deal access ends on Nov 30, 2026. Free users can still log in to view and download their data until then.
What is the best GummySearch alternative?
Reddit Pro for free audience research, Syften or F5Bot for keyword alerts, and Redreach or Subreddit Signals for leads you reply to yourself. If you want comments drafted and posted for you, SlopMog and CrowdReply both start at $99 a month. Prices as of Nov 3, 2026.
Is there a free GummySearch alternative?
Yes, for parts of it. Reddit Pro is free and tracks keywords and trends on Reddit, and F5Bot's free plan emails alerts for 5 keywords (personal use only). Neither replaces GummySearch's audience research. Skip Reddit's RSS feeds: Reddit stops supporting them on Nov 13, 2026.
How much did GummySearch cost?
$29 a month for Starter, $59 for Pro and $199 for Mega, with 33% off on annual billing, according to its help center. It stopped selling plans on Nov 30, 2025.
Could other Reddit tools shut down too?
Nobody outside Reddit and the vendor can say. Reddit's Data API Terms require a separate agreement for commercial use, which is what GummySearch couldn't get, and Reddit closes public API access in March 2027. Prefer monthly billing and keep your own copy of your lists.
